How To Properly Install Ubuntu Desktop Version on Windows XP without CD/DVD Drive to Boot




To Install Ubuntu 11.10 Desktop Version in Windows XP, First you must have PowerISO installed in your computer to Mount Ubuntu 11.10 ISO CD image file in Virtual Drive.

1. Open Virtual Drive --> click "wubi.exe" Installation windows appear --> click "Install Inside Windows".


2. Select installation Drive, Recommended Drive ("Local C") password must not blank before clicking Install.


3. After Install, Rebot your PC, click Finish.

Note: You should have a network connection for Ubuntu to auto update your hardware drivers.

Finally after install, it work fine for me, the fact that this desktop version of Ubuntu currently supports the x86 32 bit and 64 bit architectures. for me ubuntu is one of the best multitasking Operating System.
